Questions about raw food diets…?

Do raw food diets mean just eating meat and vegetables raw, or would you actually avoid things like rice and bread that have to be cooked?
Are there meats other than fish that can be (safely) eaten raw?

Raw food diets are a lot more complex than just eating raw fruits and vegetables. The idea is to avoid eating cooked food, so rice would be sprouted rather than boiled and breads would be made from sprouted grains and then heated (under 130 F) in a dehydrator.

As for meat, I wouldn’t advise eating meat raw, although there are some raw foodists who do (it’s very rare). If you must try it, go for organic meat, very fresh and avoid things like pork. If you search through the raw food sites, you will find some ground rules for raw meat eating. I’ve never done it myself.

This site will give you an idea of vegetarian and vegan raw food diets:

http://www.living-foods.com/

Otherwise, if you check out David Wolfe’s work and look at raw food sites, you will get lots of ideas for recipes. My favourite raw food recipe book is Juliano’s “Raw the Uncook Book” but there are many others.

Enjoy.

What to eat in a raw food diet for variety?

I’m not looking to go totally raw food, but definitely want to have more. I know pretty much all the Western veggies and fruit, but what are some good foreign foods that can be eaten raw, and how to prepare them? Also what are good foods to sprout, and how do you do that?

Have you tried “green smoothies”? They are awesome! They are great to incorporate into a raw food diet!

I just started doing my own sprouts. I bought a variety package from wheatgrasskits.com. Get some big mason jars and tops to rinse. Those can be bought there, too, at least the lids with holes.

Your local health food store should have things like dehydrated fruits that you don’t find everyday like goji berries and such. I used to live in Florida and got all the papaya, coconuts, avocados, mangoes, and citrus from friends who had trees. I moved north and sure do miss those. Now I eat lots of apples, pears, cherries, and a variety of berries. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten tired of all the varieties of fruits that you can get at the store.

As far as the greens and veggies, I grow my own garden. Right now I have 7 different greens and different veggies growing. If you don’t have the space, you can grow them in container gardens.

I hope this helps a bit! ; )

raw food baby formula

raw food baby formula
My 10 month old and food allergies!

Is very allergic to milk and milk/dairy products. He has severe eczema and can’t have anything with milk products or he breaks out in a horrible, severe rash that he can’t stop scratching at. He was put on Alimentum and it hasn’t done any good..my aunt, who is also lactose intolerant, was reading the ingredients and said that there is milk based products in the Alimentum. So I took him off of formula completely (He will be 11 months this month-Aug.) and put him on Rice milk and his skin has already started clearing up!! My question is–Does anyone have a recipe for homemade Rice milk that is more catered to babies or will any Rice milk recipe do? I have found a few good recipes but wasn’t sure if babies needed added ingredients. He is also eating homemade food..meaning I buy raw fruits and veggies and cook them etc. because the baby food also has added stuff that he is allergic to. Thanks so much for all of your help!

This can indeed relate to your little ones allergies.

The information below is often overlooked or missed by both patients and physicians.

This is the best Allergy info.

Being a nurse with over 25 years experience, I have seen a lot of patients with similar illnesses and disorders.

Many Allergy and Asthma problems are caused from common everyday chemicals and fragranced products as well as VOC’s in homes, schools and workplace.

This is a growing problem for many people and most are not even aware that it exists as more and more chemicals are being introduced and used on a daily basis.

Many people believe that because a product smells good or cleans well and it is on a store shelf that it is tested, approved and safe for use.
Think again !

We are now seeing more and more children and adults with skin disorders, nausea, Allergies, Headaches, Sinusitis, Migraines, Asthma, Chronic Hives, Eczema, sinus / respiratory illnesses and Hormone related disorders.

I can not emphasize how important it is to educate yourself about the harm you may be doing to your health by using chemicals and fragranced products.

Most doctors will not inform you about this because patients as a whole like to walk out of a doctors office with a prescription for some magical medicine and they do not want to be told that their expensive new perfume or newly installed carpet or fresh house paint may be the culprit. Also, many patients do not want to change their lifestyle to accommodate their new illness. Infact, I have even witnessed patients who increase or take multiple medications for their allergy or asthma just so that they can continue to wear their perfume or use Bounce or Febreeze. The doctor will give patients medications even though often times these meds do not eliminate the problem or often times cause other health problems because they are an added chemical in the body.

Chemicals and fragranced products are often the root of many disorders and illnesses when it comes to your health. Many of the below mentioned items are common triggers to sinus, asthma, itching, headaches, Migraines and allergy problems amongst other health issues. Get rid of them and your immune and respiratory system will thank you and you will breathe easier.

And, it is not only personal body or cleaning products causing havoc on your health….many people become ill after wearing brand new clothing, dry-cleaned clothes, installing new carpet, painting, buying a new mattress or after home renovations because of the Flame Retardants, Antimony, Benzenes, Formaldehydes, etc. used in these products. So the answer is NO, you are not imagining that 2 weeks after your home, office or classroom got renovated you started to become ill, get dizzy or have headaches. This is happening more and more these days and adults as well as children are becoming sicker and sicker.

Unfortunately, too many doctors compound the problem by prescribing chemical medications to try to alleviate the symptoms of an already chemical overloaded body and they rarely tell the patient to eliminate the chemical offenders. How many times have I seen people in the grocery store with Bounce, Glade Plug-Ins and Febreeze in their shopping cart along with a bottle of Benadryl , Migraine Excedrin and a box of Allergy Tablets ? Why don’t they make the connection?

Keep in mind that your skin is the largest organ of your body and what you put on your skin gets absorbed into your body. Then … well… then it has to be filtered by your organs which are already working real hard.

BIG NO-NO’s —- I would SERIOUSLY recommend removing all of the below from your living / working area.

No Bounce or dryer sheets – these are VERY toxic
No Febreeze – your pets will even thank you for this
No Glade Plug-ins – VERY toxic
No drinking of Unfiltered tap water
No Scented candles
No Scented Dish Detergents
No Fragranced Products on Body, Hair or Clothing
No Smoke
No Newspapers and Magazines – The ink is a huge irritant.
No Dander
No Sprays
No Sharpies (marker pens)
New Cartpeting, mattresses, paint, contain toxins that can trigger severe respiratory disorders as well as headaches and Asthma flare-ups.
And remember, it is NOT the smell it is the Chemicals that make up the smell. So, even if something is “Fragrance Free” these products often mask the smell with another chemical ! There are plenty of safe healthy products out there that work well and do not have added chemical fragrances.

More and more workplaces & schools are implementing Fragrance Free policies and creating “Fragrance Free Zones”… why do you think this is? Make the connection, your lungs , immune system and your general health will thank you.

raw food vs cooked food

raw food vs cooked food
DS: Raw VS Homemade VS Premium VS Low quality?

what are your opinions on raw diet homemade food premium kibble and low quality kibble. eg. Prey model, cooked meat and veggies, taste of the wild, purina. which is best for a dog and why?

I’m probably going to get bashed for saying this (no idea why!) but in most cases, raw is best, because it’s what dogs would eat in the wild. They have nearly the same digestive systems as wolves, and wolves eat raw, do they not?

IMO:
Raw ~ Best thing, although some people are unable to feed it. It’s natural and mimics the diet of wild dogs & wolves
Homemade ~ Not very good, hard to balance because the meat is cooked, and a lot of it is veggies, which is completely unnecessary
Premium ~ Good alternative if you can’t feed raw, there are good ingredients in these kibbles, and it’s easy to feed
Low Quality ~ Not saying that some dogs can’t do well on it, but honestly, the ingredients are crap, the only benefit here is that it’s easy to feed

Have any large-scale studies investigated the personality types likely to follow “conspiracy theory” fads ….?

….related to diet and health (e.g. deploring “artificial chemicals” vs. “natural” cures, favoring “colon cleansing” and “raw foods” versus “evil agribusiness”, etc.)

I’m not interested in reading emotional rants rehashings of the classic debates surrounding these topics. (Those are easy to find through any search engine or by visiting quackery websites.) I’m asking about published psychological studies appearing in peer-reviewed journals attempting to profile the types of people likely to be drawn to various health fads despite the scientific evidence weighing against their efficacy and safety.

        raw food hunger
Is it illegal to catch seagulls on the beach and eat them raw?

with a large beach crowd around such children, adults, everyone else going to the beach. Just wanted to know because sometimes I have extreme hunger impulses and can not go all the way to the nearest food store, it's much easier and better tasting to take only the nearest gull and put in my mouth. Thanks-in-advance!?

Very dangerous thing you can do. The seagulls are squabbling and can support more than you expect a fight. A lot more sure to root through trash cans for half eaten chicken leg.

        raw food diet basics

        Raw Food Lifestyle ?!?

        Hola Yahoo! =)

Can anyone on here talk to me about the raw food lifestyle ?
I’m not intrested in a diet, I want to know about the lifestyle.

What does it totally contain ?
What are the basics [beside the total obvious, lol] ?
What does it say about raw fish and raw meat ?
How do you get started ?
How long does it take you to ease into eating only raw ?

Why did you choose to start eating only raw foods ?
Is it really healthier for you ?
Did you think you got healthier or happier from eating raw ?

What are your overall views on the raw food diet as a whole ?

Thank you so much in advanced !!! ^_^

The raw food “lifestyle” is just diet related. There aren’t any ethical obligations or beliefs involved- it’s totally dogma free. Although people who are raw tend to be ecologically concerned and politically liberal, it isn’t part of a credo.

Most people who are raw are raw vegans. In fact, (although I know there are people who do) I’ve never met anyone who ate raw fish and meat as part of a raw diet. When one says “raw” you can assume “raw vegan.”

The majority of people who adopt a raw food diet do so to deal with health problems. Many people have debilitating illnesses like Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative colitis, some have digestive problems like heartburn and reflux, some are fighting obesity, and many are trying to wean themselves off of pharmaceuticals.

I got started when my husband (a doctor) advised two weeks on raw fruits, vegetables and juices to see if it would help my allergies, and the accompanying sinus pain and hives. It did. Over two years later I’m still on it. (Although my cooking has gotten a lot fancier!)

After a month I was shocked at how much energy I had. After six months I realized my eyesight had improved. Gradually I noticed that I couldn’t remember the last time I felt depressed or had a headache!

To get started, I would recommend that you read everything you can find online first. Then I’d get two books: “The Complete Book of Raw Food” by Lori Baird and Julie Rodwell and “Raw Food Made Easy” by Jennifer Cornbleet.

Does anyone feed their cat a raw food diet? My girl has digestive problems(frequent diarrhea)?

She’s been to the vet a lot & she (the vet) doesn’t think the cat is seriously ill. She thinks it may be irritable bowel syndrome. Right now kitty is on Hills ID prescription food. She seems better on this food, but they say it should only be fed short term & she’s been on it 3 mos. Also, it contains a lot of bad ingredient including corn gluten & chicken bi-products YUK :( My vet doesn’t seem at all knowledgeable about food. I’m planning on going to a holistic vet, but wanted to get input from members who feed the raw food diet. Thanks!

Try Eukenuba Response LB canned food. A freind of mine with a cat that had chronic diarrhea for 4 years tried everything – food and medication. Then she switched the cat food to Eukenuba Resonse LB and it cured the problem. Amazing. You may want to see if this works for your kitty.

        1,000 calories per day?

I made up the plan this week for food, and total calories per day was 1027 calories. I'm trying to lose weight. I read online although the weight loss, minimal calories should never be less than 1200. So I wonder, does the issue of calorie intake as well as food I'm eating? I'll be eating things like V8 juices, oatmeal, low fat, gluten-free chicken wrap raw spinach, sliced apple, chips special Fruit K and Campbell low sodium chicken noodle soup on a daily basis. Again, regardless of the number of calories as much as when the calories from? I'm going to try to lose 2 pounds a week. My idea is to make a jog of 30 minutes each morning just after waking. In the days I have to work nights, I can wii fit do afterschool. In the days that I have no job, I can go to the gym. However, 1000 calories enough?

Yes:) What your body is going to magically close if not eat those 200 calories? Jesus had like 500 calories a day and He is perfect, so I'm pretty sure you're right.

        raw food sleep
How does this sound for daily food intake?

I am trying to lose weight by cutting my sweets and soda intake. I’d like to try this menu, how does this sound?

        Breakfast: Carnation Instant Breakfast drink

Lunch: Tuna sandwich with lettuce, or egg salad sandwich/ water to drink

Supper: Chicken, pork or venison with potatoes (mashed, boiled or baked)glass of milk

AM snack: fruit (apple or grapefruit)
PM snack: cheese and crackers or raw veggies and dip
Before Bed: milk-white or chocolate (I sleep better then)

I usually drink a few glasses of water or juice through out the day, and maybe have a can of soda here and there.
What if I have malt-o-meal or cream of wheat with the instant breakfast?

Sounds good, though you might want to add some oat meal or a small portion high fiber cereal with skim milk for breakfast. It’ll be healthy and help keep you less hungry. Make sure you use light mayo in your egg and chicken salad, and eat whole wheat bread. Also, stay light on dips as well (low fat or fat free). Read labels and portions sizes.

Don’t starve your self cause you body will hold onto fat. try keeping track of calories from 1200-1500 per day depending on your body height/weight.

If you drink juice, keep it low as it is high in calories and sugar(go for 100% juice)

Also, get exercise (you might gain a little muscle weight, but you’ll lose fat) and drink lots of water.

Over all, you seem to be right on track, just a few suggestions.

You can pretty much eat as many leafy greens as you want at anytime as well (add to lunch and dinner). If you have carrots and corn, that’s great, but they have relatively higher sugars than say spinach.

        raw foods diet list

        raw foods diet list

Thinking that going raw may blow your budget? It definitely does not have to be. Check out the following budget survival tips every raw food list must know:

        1) Going Slow

The truth is – if you plan to be complete with elaborate equipment, measuring utensils and expect to prepare gourmet raw foods everyday, there will be some investment which needs to be made.

But you can always take smaller steps and go slowly. For beginners, I do not recommend getting expensive equipment right away. In fact, if you have my 3D2N Weekend Detox, you can see that a person can be raw even without a blender.

I have a student residing in Taiwan who has zero equipment, and she managed to carry on the detox using raw foods for more than 5 days!!

Before you jump into buying a dehydrator or even a high powered blender, try to see if you can make do with any household blenders you already own. Even with these common home blenders, you can prepare some decent raw dishes.

When you are more comfortable financially and ready to move on to the chef/fancy gourmet levels, you can opt to buy more equipment and source for pricier ingredients.

        2) Get the best you can within your affordability

If you compare organic nuts to non-organic nuts, of course organic nuts will be much more expensive! And even more so on our little island where availability is sometimes an issue. If getting the real organic versions blow your budget, then opt for the non-organic versions instead. There is no perfect scenario for every occasion, so lets just make the best out of our individual situations.

Imagine if you are trapped in a cell with either fries, or baked potatoes (non-organic), of course it’ll make more sense to choose the latter! So, don’t worry too much, just buy within your budget and reap the maximum benefits possible.

For a list of the top-most polluted fruits/vegetables, read my article Should We Go Organic from my website below.

Remember that Nature is generous, do we really need that special fruit/vegetable to give us a certain precious nutrient? By listening to your own body and making sensible choices, worrying about malnutrition can often be unnecessary.

        3) Buy from distributors/wholesalers

If you are concerned about budget, then buying from wholesalers will make more sense than buying from supermarkets. Its all about value actually; you are paying for the supermarket’s overheads, advertising and transport costs, in return for accessibility and comfortable shopping.

Please read the rest of the article from the website below.

        raw food quick
Raw diet recipes and a quick question?

I’m interested in starting my pup on a raw diet, and have been doing some research on the side. I want to finish his current food off first (not gonna waste a 17lb. bag! :D ), but I’m looking for any sites that can provide me with healthy recipes to consider. Also, any forums for the topic would be great!

        **Thank you for any replies!**

Remember that a raw diet is NOT just meat or meaty bones but a combination of meat, meaty bones and organs (or better yet a whole carcass). I feed about 2/3 meat/heart and the rest a combination of meaty bones and organs such as liver, kidney etc with the occasional table scraps if there are left over vegetables (low or no carb ones).

The general guide is to feed about 20% per week or between 2-3% per day of the dog’s ideal adult body weight. If I feed a large meal one day I reduce the amount of food the next. The best guide for how much to feed is your dog’s appearance and its activity level for that day. A day spent at the park takes more energy than a day spent on the lounge.

This is my favourite ‘recipe’ site http://www.rawfeddogs.net/Recipe/List

I would highly recommend getting a copy of Dr Tom Lonsdale’s book “Work Wonders” to boost your knowledge before you take the plunge. the yahoo groups rawfeeding and RawMeatyBones willl be a great source of help and support too.

“Dogs are Carnivores” An article clearly explaining the physiological reasons behind this classification and the effects of feeding inappropriate foods

        raw food leaky gut

Have you ever had thrush or a similar infection on your skin? If you did or you still do, then you may have a Candida infection. Do not worry because I will share a secret about Candida foods that will knock your socks off.

Let us first discuss what a Candida infection is. Candida is a natural microorganism flora of our body that usually dwell in our gastrointestinal tract, vagina, and even the mouth. If you are not careful with what you eat and your health, you may develop what is known as a Candida infection or candidiasis.

If you continue to ignore your candidiasis, you will have a condition called a “leaky gut.” This means that Candida which is normally contained in areas like your stomach will travel to your blood. You do not want this to happen because your blood should maintain a sterile environment. That means it should not have traces of bacteria and fungi, because these invaders will spread when blood travels throughout your body.

The best way to keep these fungi to a minimum is through Candida foods. This natural remedy is better than taking in antibiotics, because in many cases they can depress your immune system which leads to a rebound effect – worsened infection. This remedy is actually simple, just be picky with the food you eat.

There are specific foods that actually feed or encourage the growth of Candida. Some of which are high in sugar like desserts and even bread. You want to avoid those foods because they will serve as a metaphorical fuel to the Candida fire.

Some of the foods that you want to eat a lot of are raw vegetables. Any raw vegetables will do, like carrots, lettuce, and the other green leafy ones. These raw foods will not only fight your Candida infection, they will also improve your overall health and immune system. So keep a look out for those raw food recipes that will change your life forever.

Jacob Reed has a passion for nutrition and he has learned a lot about it. He has more information about candida foods, and he maintains a website at http://www.naturalcurefood.com where you can get answers to the rest of your questions.

        raw food problems

        raw food problems
Is it the raw food diet dog best dog kibble?

I with a chocolate lab 8yr old. It is a Probally two pounds overweight and has bad infections of yeast in his two ears.He play ball and goes out for about 20 minutes a day. We put the medicine in his ears twice a week and have even tried to feed him yogurt but no help. I've heard that raw food diet is natural for dogs and solve all their problems in time ... Fact or fiction?

I think so, because it is what dogs were meant to eat. raw power will not solve * all * their problems, but will help many and I imagine it will help with yeast infections. I started my dog on a raw diet when I was 8 years old, too. He did very well and is now 10 years old, still in the raw diet and prosperous. Its fur is excellent, too. http://rawfeedingtips.yolasite.com/ my favorite raw power contacts, hopefully they can answer too.

        raw food fiber

        raw food fiber
What is the formula for determining the caloric change between raw and cooked food?

For example: A hamburger bun is 130 calories 2g fat 1g fiber. After you toast the bun, how many calories are left?

I wouldn’t think it would change with the bun. However, when you cook the HAMBURGER itself, especially on the grill, it loses probably close to 20% of it’s grease and fat–or MORE–depending on how you like it cooked.

If you dry foods they’re MUCH better for you. For example, if you like your bacon crispy, even though it’s pork, it dries the bacon and you’re probably getting anywhere from 10-30% less grease, fat, and cholestrol than if you were to like it soft and slimy.

Basically, whatever food you can prepare on the grill, the better power to you.

Oh–and if you like pizza, leave it in the oven for an extra 15-25 minutes and it will boil most of the grease to the top, and you can just dab the grease and oils off the pizza.

        raw food beginners
        I’d like to try sushi :D ?

As a child, growing up, I always heard adults saying “You should try new things like vegetables and fruits and sushi!” Yes, sushi. And I was womdering what a beginner like moi who has only ever eaten fast food and cultural arabic food should start out with. Do I order the raw or the cooked first? How should I eat the maki? What do I do with the soy sauce! What in god’s name is unagi?

        Thanks in advance.

to get comfortable I would first try americanized rolls.. like the california, the philadelphia roll, new york , boston roll.. all of those do not have raw fish in them. after that the tempura sushi has fried and battered things in it so nothing is raw. and when your ready for raw I would start w/ tuna or salmon. most people like that. as for soy sauce, pretend like you re eating chinese. Just dunk in it. for wasabi (the green stuff) be very careful, its a very spicy mustard. Most people put a dab on top of their roll. Another thing is gari (pickled ginger). Its pink and personally I like it. A lot of people don’t. the ones that DO eat it usually put it on top of their roll too. Oh yeah and don’t bite sushi. Eat the piece whole…. enjoy! sushi is the best!!!

"I can get fit in three weeks? Any advice?

I am 22 and 5'7 135 lbs. I have an almost-three years old and my body a little out of shape. Especially my obliques (love-handles, muffin top), lower abdominals and hamstrings (some notable cellulite there). I'm taking a beach vacation in three weeks and I would look good in a bikini. My diet is healthy general. I lowered my intake of carbohydrates and calories and include more raw foods (fruit and vegetables) on a daily basis. I'm working 4 times a week for 1 hours and directed to all areas above and doing 20 minutes of cardiovascular exercise (brisk walking inclination). Is this enough? Any videos / training or special diets you recommend? Any advice and all understanding is appreciated:) By the way I know I'm not fat, I would like to tone. Thanks beforehand.

It looks like you're doing everything right. A balanced diet and exercising. If Youse like to burn that "fat" Go into your stomach to recommend some yoga and strength training. By standing for 60 seconds, as the table, it would build muscle and therefore burn more fat. You do not want do to cardio as well as to accelerate heartbeat into position above aerobic, which is to lose weight. Want to tone, trim, and strength to obtain the best results. Also when is cardio and take in their training, find their "cushion" the rhythm of the heart, where fat burning reaches it peak. Use the 220 - (your age) formula. One thing I did was get inthe treadmil 15 minutes. The first two minutes was a brisk walk. 2 m of soft slope, a faster pace. Basically it is a mixture of slow lunges and sprints inclined level. Help! Friend with cancer, trying to research alternative treatment!?

I have a thirty year old friend with breast cancer. She is undergoing chemo. I am big into holistic health and want to responsibly take on the decision of guiding her to an alternative treatment.

I am researching holism to first present my argument. Then I will need to research treatments to help her. I am willing to take her to the US for an alternative treatment center if the cost does not go over 5 000 dollars. I am thinking raw whole foods, juice fasting, yoga, detox detox detox.

Please give me all the info you know!
I find your statement contradictory. How could detox, etc. work when the chemo is killing the good cells along with the bad?

Check with your local health food store owners, they may know some good info that can be done at the same time as the chemo.

I can tell you some of the things that I have heard work well. 24ounces of organic carrot juice every day, green barley, and organic foods. Stay away from things like city water, ibuprofen, artificial sweeteners. A positive attitude also helps.

Hopefully you get some good info and find someone who can help out. Good luck!

If you had 3 wishes what would they be?

One day you go to Egypt and find an old antique lamp, you buy it with the money you have and return back to your home. Later, you off dust on the lamp and a genie pops out saying ” Sense you released me from this state, I will give you three wishes and you cannot exchange your wishes for money, more wishes, or wish for anymore than the given three wishes or combine two wishes into one.” What would you wish for? Here is what I would wish for:

        1) World Peace ( No more wars between nations, if the world would be all good then we wouldn’t know what bad was and the world would end).
        2) Democracy. ( No More 3rd world countries).
        3) A Magical Cauldron. (The magical cauldron could take one item and produce two more of the same item in the bottom of the cauldron, so technically I could get a lot of food to end world hunger and enough raw materials such as gold, silver, gasoline to live the rest of my life). =)

        Respond Below…

        1. Win the lotto
        2. World Peace
        3. Democracy

        raw food tools

        raw food tools
How to start a civilization from scratch, without machines, without food, tools, etc..?

If all the material artificial was suddenly disappear, ie food, clothing, buildings, processed materials, tools, machines, everything, as if you just reach a new empty planet with only the natural resources and nature, what is the procedure to follow to achieve what we have today? As ... we'd need to get row materials, but we'd need to produce the first tools, etc, etc. (Clothes, houses, computers, everything is built by machines, they are also building other machines and tools are too).

I bet you hated history classes too .. The trick is to hit the rocks together. Well, a little more detail ... Bang some rocks flint arrowheads and simple wood working tools. Use wooden shovels to dig a little light brown earth (clay) and some red / brown earth (iron ore), meanwhile, used stone tools and shovels to make charcoal from trees. Peel an animal skin and leave to soak in the bark of trees, use this to make some steam. That's the prep work ... Using clay to make a smelting furnace and the pot with charcoal fire is assisted by the bellows, boiled red / brown rocks and go! has reached the iron. iron can be cast in sand molds. If still more air is blown through molten iron, while adding charcoal to obtain steel. Hope you do not mind if I leave for another day computers? it becomes a bit more complicated.

        raw food alkaline

        raw food alkaline
My lips peels when in contact with liquid. Why does this happen? The skin tissue in my mouth does this too,?

Why does this happen? The skin tissue in my mouth does this too, sloughing of oral tissues which is due to toothpaste and/or mouthwash.

I changed(constantly) the toothpaste, and mouthwash. I think I found that problem but still, my lips comes raw and comes off..

It’s pretty bad, I went to dentist, knowing that it’ll happen. While they were cleaning it, and finished, said I can rinse mouth out, and they walked away and the rawness where I can wipe it off was kinda embarressing, no one seen me wipe it off, but the person cleaning mouth prolly was like, wow raw looking whiteness!

        Know what causes this?
I don’t really have dry lips, I put something on it all the time. I used many many many things, even coconut oil, olive, etc. All does the samething.. So, no dry lips.. I can not even put anything on and it does it…

Could it be that my saliva is too acidic and I need to eat more foods higher in alkaline? I ordered a pH tester strips, I’ll see how it reads..

Your symptoms certainly sound unusual. There are unlikely to be due to salivary pH. Rather, they may be due several connective tissue or autoimmune disorders. Possibilities may include lichen planus, cicatrical phemphigoid, pemphigus, and more. Infections may also cause similar symptoms, as can several other diseases.

You should consult your doctor about these symptoms. He/she may refer you to a dermatologist for further diagnosis or treatment.

I know vaugely which foods are allowed but would like some more information of how to put it into practice and how it relates to more uncommon foods such as xylitol or agave as sweeteners, or quinoa and amaranth (i guess not)? How about sweet potatoes (they can be eaten raw, which white pots cannot). Cashews (officially a legume – but do they have antinutrients typical of legumes? They can be eaten raw. Aren’t pistachios legumes? What’s wrong with peanuts? Are seeds okay, don’t they have lectins? Is there a full list or faq anywhere, or what is the best book to get before starting the diet?
