Raw Food Recipes for a dog with severe itchy skin?

I recently wrote about my 9 years. Shitzu old with severe dry itchy skin. He has injuries which bites and he is losing hair, I ran out of options now. I do not want to renounce it and put it down, and after my last question, I received many great responses. I decided to sequences without my dog. I've been researching it and know I have to gradually introduce this food to him, however I would like suggestions on what to feed. Tomorrow will be his first food in this way, so that any raw food for a dog with chronic itchy skin would be awesome! Also, some advice to the introduction of food, and exactly how to prepare food for me a bit:) thanks in advance to all!

I would start your dog in the chicken. Perhaps the thighs, a division of the breast bone. He should get 2-3% of their ideal body weight per day. Transfer the chicken for a couple of weeks and then slowly add in some chicken liver. You want to add new foods gradually and one at the time of your dog, just to make sure that does not have an allergy to a protein. For example, if you start adding the meat of your dog starts to get itchy again, leave the beef. Wait a couple of weeks, try again, if the dog bites again then do not eat meat. You want to work for you to feed a variety of foods. My own dogs eat chicken, pork, beef, rabbit, Venison, lamb and other "exotic meats" such as I can get. Variety is important in this diet, but many dogs need to be able to work for eating a variety. 80/10/10 Shot of a relationship. 80% of muscle meat, bone 10%, 10% on average which bodies is the liver. This is not true exactly every day, but over time. Http: / / www.dogster.com/forums/Raw_Food_Diet/thread/431875 http://www.rawfed.com

Help I want to feed my 8 week old newfoundland puppy raw food what and how much do I give him?

Meat obviously chicken seems favourite and bones, but how much

Hooray!
Raw diet is the best thing you can do for your puppy. The only difference between dog food and puppy food is an abundance of fat for their growing bodies. Feed a raw diet because your puppy will develop at a more appropriate rate, and heavy growth spurts are avoided. Tearing at the bones will help grow his muscles. Gnawing at the bones will CLEAN his teeth. Mmmm…Raw meat! I wouldn’t feed him huge marrow bones right away, but the general rule of thumb is to feed 10% of your puppy’s body weight, divided into 3 or 4 meals a day. You might have to accomodate if he is leaving food behind, or showing severe signs of hunger (food-hound activity not included). I might do some research on proper suppliments, but know for sure that calcium is a poor idea for large breed dogs as their growth is darn fast anyway and too much calcium will only exacerbate the issue. It takes a while for their tendons and ligaments to catch up!

Is a raw food diet good for my kitten?

I just got a 7 week old kitten and started him on the regular cat chow. But after visiting a pet food store was persuaded into trying a Raw food diet simular the the BARF diet. He seems to like it but I am conserned about feeding my kitten raw meat! They told me at the pet store that grains were bad for cats because they weren’t able to diggest them. I’m very confused can anyone shed some light?

This is absolutely correct, and GOOD FOR YOU (and your pet store) for considering this.

It sounds as if you’re purchasing a raw food? True raw is really best, but if you’re using something like Nature’s Variety that’s quite good as well.

The reason this is true is because cats are obligate carnivores. That means they are designed to and are required to eat diets high in meat-based proteins. Also high in fat, but not as high as the protein. Any grains they ingest are minor, few and far between – anything that might be found in a mouse’s stomach, but they are not necessary.

In other words, the mouse is the perfect food for cats, and the raw diet attempts to recreate that by providing meat, organs and bones.

I’ve collected a lot of articles that will tell you the same thing in much more detail – but still easy to process.

You can learn more too by joining any or all of the raw food groups on Yahoo.

EDIT: Cats don’t eat raw meat in the wild because they don’t know how to cook as someone suggested. I’ve never heard anything so silly! Cats’ digestive tracts are much shorter than humans. This is why they’re able to eat raw meat and not suffer from the same bacteria humans would if they did the same. That doesn’t mean your cat can eat rotten meat – you still want to take care with it – but it’s much safer for them.

Question about dog food.. kibble vs prepackaged frozen raw?

Okay.. so I have a new 8 1/2 week old chihuahua, and he is currently on Orijen kibble. However at the feed store where we buy it, they recently brought in some freezers with raw food and bones. I have heard DIY raw food is awesome for animals, but not too sure about frozen. They carry a brand called Red Dog Blue Cat. Is this going to be full nutrition for my growing puppy?
This is the kind we bought, but haven’t tried yet:
    Chicken & Veggies Meal

Ingredients : Non-medicated, free-range ground chicken meat, organs and bones, organic: green kale, lettuce, zucchini, squash, jewel yams.

And the pup was a gift to me, if it had been up to me I definately would have waited until at least 10 weeks. I got him at 6 1/2, way too young I know.

The raw diet IS great, however you are already feeding a VERY high quality kibble to your new baby. Kudos to you for the great choice :)

I know I didnt answer your question, but I just wanted to commend you for choosing a truly nutritious and good food for your dog. I work at a store where they only sell high quality foods (Orijen, Innova, Taste of the Wild, some frozen raw foods, etc) so I know how important it is to feed your dog.

Also, the grain free aspect is awesome – I know of a lot of chihuahuas having grain allergies.

    Again, kudos to you :)

    Raw dog food diet (again)?

Ok i just asked a question about raw dog food diet for my boerboel and i got some rly good answers. But i also own a 3yr old golden retriever who weighs 80lbs that i would like to switch onto this raw food diet. So when you guys were sayin 2-3% of my dog’s ideal body weight what does that mean? and where would i buy organ meat and bone meat? thank you :)
Also i do know that dogs don’t need veggies and grains really and i am going to feed them based on a prey-model diet

It means exactly what it says – you feed 2 – 3% of the dog’s ideal body weight daily. If your dog should weight 80 pounds, you feed 2 – 3% of 80 every day.

And you need to do your own research as to where to buy meat. Check with butchers, put ads in the paper, check out grocery stores, etc.

You really need to be doing a lot of research to be sure you’re doing it correctly. Google it to get detailed info, maybe join a group of raw feeders to learn all there is to learn.

How Dog Food can affect your pet's health

After starting a business focused on the distinctive products of the dog healthy dog ( www.distinctivedog.com ), A new world opened on the nutritional status of dogs and what the manufacturers do not tell consumers.

There is much debate when it comes to food for dogs, treats and pet nutrition. In the wild, dogs inherently hunted and consumed animals and plants. Their digestive systems were designed to break down raw meat, while the enzymes in the meat helps the digestion process.

Today, domesticated dogs eating processed patties containing primarily refined grains and protein sources. Once the meat source is removed, the rest of the ingredients are mostly natural no pet. Wheat, barley, rice, corn and oats are all man-raised crops that a dog would never eat in nature. So how have adapted dogs on a diet consisting primarily of grains and protein sources?

For starters, the Dogs are very prone to allergies. Wheat, corn, soybeans and barley are the most common culprits of allergies in dogs. The most interesting factor here is that most of these substances are not contained Dog chain of natural foods.

Corn is an inferior source of protein and some experts argue that the liver of the dog must work overtime to remove the protein usable in the process produces excess nitrates. These nitrates place extra strain on the liver and some veterinarians say, is one of the causes of premature aging.

Wheat, soybeans, barley and white rice have very little nutritional value and are used by manufacturers to get more benefits of their products. As a fun experiment, put the dry ingredients of your dog in the water for about 10 minutes. If it swells dramatically, it probably contains high amounts of these grains.

There are a variety of theories about the effects of treated pet food and dog treats in our pets. Vet Juan B. Symes writes and speaks on the effects of gluten casin cow's milk, corn and soy in healthy dogs. He is a "recovered" celiac, and believes that these substances are blocking the absorption of nutrients during the digestion process of the dog.

Many of these ingredients are used as filler in commercial dog food and when mixed with water to create a sticky substance. Symes said that the dog's digestive tract is not designed to break these materials and the resulting partially digested material adhesive layers of the intestine, blocking absorption of essential nutrients.

"Imagine a German Shepherd puppy begins eating a wheat, barley, corn, or soy-based diet from the time of weaning. If inadequate levels of calcium and vitamin C are absorbed, what are the chances that its hips, elbows, spine and other cartilaginous structures are going to form properly? I would say that is not "good." Most people familiar with dogs know that this breed has a reputation for horrible hip dysplasia. But, they also have severe allergies and other disorders immune system-related. This, of course, no accident. Once you understand that allergies are formed in the area of intestine that is being damaged or coated the 'glue', it is easy to see why problems such as races German Shepherd, Cocker Spaniel, Shih Tzu, and others have their 'genetic' trends such as allergic skin and ear problems, orthopedic abnormalities, ruptures of intervertebral discs, and cancer, "says Symes.

Another way the dog food manufacturers and processing cost reduction is through protein sources. Most dog foods contain protein sources labeled as "flour", "digest" or "product". These ingredients contain meat sources that are considered unsuitable for human consumption. Representation of the processing plants of dead animals and other products for animal feed and pet food itself. With virtually no government regulation, these sources often contaminated proteins go through our dog's dinner.

A regulation on the books has been written in the 1974 National Research Council publication on nutrient requirements of dogs. He says that all mammals (with except humans) are legally permissible "meat" for the representation as long as they do not rot. Some states have adopted an additional standard excluding death, dead, disabled or diseased tissues.

Deborah Lynn Dadd in her book The Non-toxic Home and Office: Protecting herself and her family on a daily basis toxins and dangerous state, "Each year about 116,000 mammals and nearly 15 million birds are sentenced before slaughter. After killing, another 325 000 are discarded corpses and more than 5.5 million cut large pieces because they are determined to be sick. Surprisingly, 140,000 tons of poultry is sentenced to year, mainly cancer. Sick animals that can not be sold are processed into animal feed.

Now, there is no way to substantiate the claims, but I do know that there is no real way to truly know what they actually contain these ingredients. In addition, food are processed at extremely high temperatures during the rendering process kills most of the nutritional value that may have been present.

When we begin to assess the nutrition of our dog, one wonders why only dogs are prone to allergies and health problems. William D. Cusick, author of Canine nutrition and choosing the best food for your dog states that nations with generations of dogs bred in commercial pet foods have experienced the longevity Canine decreases to 50 percent. In addition there have been increases in cancer, reproductive complications and other health problems. hypothetical reasons include pollution the environment, pesticides, vaccinations, urbanization, water fluoridation and commercial pet food.

Cusick to promote their point say that in identical environments, humans have increased life expectancy while dogs have been reduced. Moreover, in countries where the commercial dog food not available for these declines have not been documented. This point can not be overstated. It points to the urgent need for structured research to demonstrate the empirical evidence and government regulation in the pet food industry.

Today there is no way to determine specifically the consequences for health of commercial dog food and grain-based diets. As a result of these concerns, many people choose to feed their dogs bones and raw food diet (BARF). These diets provide a holistic diet closer to what dogs eat in nature. Our stomachs are designed to process pet raw meat and receiving live enzymes that are not present in cooked food.

Another option is to home cooking. This can be a difficult choice because a bit of food can be toxic to our pets. A good book about dogs and cats is home Diets: the Healthful Alternative Dr. Donald Strombeck. Dog food is unlike human nutrition, we recommend that you consult your veterinarian before considering a product or homemade BARF diet.

At a minimum, read and understand pet food labels and ingredients. ingredient labels are listed in order of quantity. Search products with minimum levels of wheat products, corn, soybeans or barley. These are fillers that can negatively affect your dog's digestive system and if your dog is allergic, can cause itchy, scaly skin, a dull coat, hair loss. These grains should never appears as the main ingredient in dog food. Also, understand the sources of protein and ensure that the sources of protein that you give your pet are high quality and sources provided.

As a general rule, do not want the quality of pet food in your local supermarket or pet store chain. Pet Specialty stores often have more experience and can help you find the right food for your pet. If you are looking for healthy dog is, many companies including Distinctive Dog Bakery ( www.distinctivedog.com ), Dog offer home baked gluten-free wheat, soybeans, corn and other harmful ingredients.

Finally, consider the possibility of supplementing his dog dietary enzymes and probiotics. Probiotics are friendly bacteria that aid in digestion and absorption of nutrients. They prevent harmful bacteria develop and cause problems, including gas, diarrhea and vomiting. Enzymes help to supplement probiotics in the process of digestion. Addition of a mixture enzymes probiotics in your dog's diet can improve digestion, creating better hair coats and enhance immune function.

Should I put my Dog on the raw food Diet?

We have an English Mastiff who is 11 mo old. My husband is 100% up for it. Will it positivlvy benefit our pup?

Before making a decision to do raw, you need to do a LOT of research! There are several ways you can go, from total raw, to a percentage, to make your own, to store bought/pre-packaged raw.

I would worry about putting a large breed puppy on it, however. I have a 10 month old that we switched to raw, and he got pano. We switched him back, and he’s been fine. We might try switching him again when he’s older.

It takes committment, and it takes education on the topic. You have to make sure that your dog’s diet is TOTALLY balanced!

Will I get FOOD POISONING if I eat a RAW SCALLOP?

My dad has some frozen “raw scallops” in the freezer. If I thaw and eat one raw, will I get food poisoning.

I have the strongest immune system ever. Seriously. If not, other suggestions would rock. Undercooked chicken and an old tuna sandwich didn’t work. So what will?

As a chef here in Canada, I worked on the east coast not far from Maine, when I was in a coastal town famous for there “Digby Scallops” not only did I eat a raw one, but it was fresh out of the water, just shucked and downed it like an oyster, all the others are wrong, in fact they all are so wrong it is not funny, I have eaten more raw seafood in my life than most ever will, plus once frozen it cannot have and food bourne problems, and most restaurants do that when cooking the majority of seafood served, and believe me if something is contaminated cooking will not I repeat not kill an bacteria strong enough to make you sick, so go ahead and try it, they have little taste, like a raw oyster in some ways

    raw food puppy diet

    raw food puppy diet

Pet owners who want to offer their dogs a healthy natural way of living should start with good nutrition. Nutrition is the foundation of good health and a well fed pet is usually a healthy pet.

The best diet for a dog is very much like a diet that nutritionists recommend for us humans. It consists of a variety of fresh whole foods rich in vitamins and minerals. This diet alone can promote optimal health in your pet.

If you want to feed your dog right, you need to start with fresh natural ingredients that are full of life. Fresh foods have very little processing; the less processing, the healthier the food is because fewer nutrients such as vitamins and minerals are lost. This type of diet might include home made dog food, a raw diet or dehydrated food. Dr Richard Pitcairn, a veterinarian who has done extensive research in natural pet care, advocates feeding pets a healthy diet of homemade foods prepared to the specific needs of the animals.

Raw food is becoming popular among pet owners and breeders and although there is a lot of controversy on the subject, many pet-owners are discovering the health benefits of the raw food diet because it has helped clear many conditions such as chronic allergies and other degenerative diseases. The good news is that rather than feeding Fido a raw bone from your butcher, there are specialty stores that carry frozen raw foods that are balanced and safe. Raw foods are also available in freeze dried form where the dog food is freeze -dried or “cold processed”, a process whereby enzymes, amino acids, and probiotics remain intact.

Another source of natural dog food is the dehydrated diet. This type of food is preserved by a process of low temperature drying, just like those healthy soup mixes we buy at the health food store. Since the process uses less heat, the activity of enzymes in the food is suspended until the food is re-hydrated. The dehydration process only loses about 3% to 5% of the nutrients as opposed to other processes such as canning and the making of kibble which may cause the food to lose of up to 60% of its nutritional value.

Homemade meals are another alternative to a healthy diet but this isn’t always easy since dogs need a specific balance and ratio of meat versus vegetable products. Be glad to know that there are premixes that take the guesswork out of making homemade dog food and all a pet owner needs to do is add some water and fresh meat to make a tasty treat for their four legged friend.

A good meal is a pleasurable experience for humans and it should be the same for our animal companions. By sticking to fresh ingredients, variety and attention to what our pets eat we can achieve balance and good health for our best friend.

    Question about ketosis?

I started dieting and I noticed my breathing developed a "fruity" to it. He told me someone that this is the result of my body to enter into something called "ketosis" where the body is burning fat. Is this true? I've been on diets before and never realized this before respiration but they told me is the way I am now on a diet, reducing my calories a lot and eat only raw vegetables and protein foods like tuna, salmon and chicken breast grilled without carbohydrates. So basically I'm just asking to see if what they said is correct, and if so, ketosis is a good sign, right, indicating that my body is burning fat, which is what I want. So if what I have said is correct, I keep doing what I'm doing, because it is working, right? Any idea is highly appreciated, thanks.

Yes, that strange taste in the mouth is the result of ketosis.

While, of course, it is always a mtter of taste, Waldorf salad is highly rich in texture. Though the level of difficulty in making this salad is somewhat higher compared to tossed salads, there is still basically nothing to putting up a great appetizer such as this one. Does anyone feed dog/cat raw food diet? Should I buy it from the grocery store?

You are supposed to feed whole parts of animals and the grocery stores usually debone most meats. Is ok to buy a T-bone steak and give to my dog?
The T-bone was just an example but, thanx for the help. I will start out on chicken and I have done tons of research but most sites fail to give you advice on where to get the whole meats. My guess is a butcher, I’ll have to look into that.
I’m sorry but anyone that believes that raw diets are bad, is very uneducated or manipulated by dog food companies.
Most health problems in pets are caused by dry kibble. My cat is dying of hyperthyroidism as we speak caused by cat food. I will not let this happen to the rest of my babies.
RAW BONES ESPECIALLY CHICKEN DO NOT CHOKE DOGS! They are soft and very good for them. Only cooked bones harden and splinter.

I’ve been feeding raw for a couple of years now, you definitely need to do your research first.
that said, I only buy some of my food at the grocery store. I buy my veggies there, I put them thru the food processor, mix with pumpkin and freeze in large yogurt containers. I also buy yogurt, plain, in large containers, eggs (I give 1perdogperweek), canned fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines, what ever is cheapest), also bananas and apples. I keep an eye out for deals on meat, I usually feed chicken, yes, bone and all, but I have found some meat shops that now do meat for raw feeders, you can buy the carcas of a chicken, or get them ground, I buy by the case and freeze. I will by gound beef when on sale, and package up for daily use. Raw feeders should get organ meat 2 or 3 times a week, so I watch for deals here too, have found I can get turkey hearts at one of the farmers markets I go to so I buy in bulk and again freeze in baggies for the amount I need. Periodically I will pick up a kidney, beef heart or tongue. It sounds like a lot of work, but once you get the hang of it it isn’t. A good freezer is essential. You can buy commerically prepared raw, fine if you only have one small dog, but as I have more and they are larger I do it myself.
always use human grade meat. Beef bones are too hard to be part of the meals, but I use beef ribs for their recreational bones, they love them and you don’t run the risk of getting a knuckle bone caught on the jaws.
For special treats I will feed ox tail or turkey necks. You will find that dogs love it.
I do use vitamin supplements- which I did when I fed kibble, vit C & E (antioxidants for cancer prevention), kelp (good for pigment, I have show dogs, and iodine for thyroid health).
good luck, but again, do your research first

We would all like to think that we are feeding our dog the best food possible. It should not matter whether it is canned food or dry food with plenty of water available, it should be the best, but it?

When you look to see what’s included, there are clauses, such as meat and animal derivatives. This term means that the animal protein, but not specific in that the meat comes from, that can come from any part of the animal. This means that the meat could be the most cheap as possible, so the manufacturer is. It’s just that there is no way, as owners, we know the real source of derivatives. Similar derivatives of vegetable origin in some dog food. Again, this can cover a range of things, just do not know.

Then we have the words permitted additives. The word can they say it’ll be fine, but will it? Some dog foods contain derivatives that have been banned for human consumption, due to ill health, such as the E110 and E102. Who are we, the owners, to learn facts like that is acceptable and what is not?

The poor quality protein also are used, so this can include using soy instead of real meat. This may be more difficult to digest and much less suitable for dog meat proteins real. Should we just accept everything that is placed on the shelves of supermarkets?

If the answer is no, then what can we, as owners to do about it. Be vigilant is the best answer. Always read the label on the can or bag and know what to feed your dog.

Real food for pets should made, to the extent possible, with natural ingredients, pure and simple. No additives or other derivatives of questionable. Dogs and other pets, they deserve food that is made of good quality natural ingredients. Food that is free of preservatives, such as colors or flavorings. Manufacturers also must be honest and detail all the ingredients used, in clear and plain language, without hiding behind the words and numbers Generalized E.

Some people use a diet called BARF (Bones and Raw Food) diet. This is where the owner of the dog food is prepared fresh, daily, using a mixture of raw meats, vegetables, cereals cooked, nuts and fruits, vitamin supplements and minerals, essential fatty acids, raw bones for calcium, eggs, milk and milk products. This can apparently a response, but as well as having many positive, some negative aspects too. So it can not be the answer.

It is really down the owner of the individual to do your due diligence in deciding what is best for your own dog after reading the labels carefully. If your dog is fit and healthy, so feed them, you only need careful monitoring is all that.

The pet food recall of 2007 has brought an enormous amount of attention to pet food. With tens of thousands of animals affected by the withdrawal and death of thousands of tainted pet food (see PetConnection database) is not at all surprising that we have questions. What is surprising is that it takes all of us so long to ask these questions.

What have we been feeding our pets all these years? We all, including veterinarians, as I trusted the pet food business altogether. We believed that our pets have always maintained – and our – best interests for the heart. But in the case of large multinational pet food, apparently not.

What we supply has been clearly not been the best for our pets. What we have seen life expectancy is shorter, more disease, cancer and more – no pets healthy. Although genetics play a role, our Pets can be like us. Garbage in .. You know the result.

Ethics of pet food companies aside, the last question to be answer is: what is the best food we can feed our pets? Where diets feed source, or there are companies that still can be trusted? And what about raw food diets of origin?

The answer quickly and easily, regardless of what you choose to do, is this: be informed. Be informed, educated pet owner and know what you're feeding your pet. You are the guardian of your pet. You know your pet better than anyone, including your veterinarian. Your pet's health is ultimately your responsibility – and that definitely includes what you feed your pet.

If you feed diets home, you know clearly the ingredients, and can find the primary sources of food that you buy. If you feed processed foods (canned or croquettes), make sure to know what really happens in that food. Make sure you know very well the company – they have reliable sources of their ingredients, and can prove it.

The other consideration, and I'm hearing this a lot lately, is the simplicity and convenience. The main reason for prepared pet foods became popular in the first place was for convenience. Many of dogs and feline diets you see tend to be rather complicated, and this scares many pet owners away.

I have also heard many pet owners expressed concern about the diets of house they want to ensure that they are 'nutritionally balanced'. And although this is a consideration, the truth is that no is elusive.

And again, what about raw food diets? Raw foods and all of the concerns apparent (founded or unfounded) are definitely the subject of another article entirely, but it's definitely something I recommend to some degree. So where does this leave us?

Ideally, I'd recommend a change to a diet of origin, either raw or cooked. You have the most control (again, as we trust our own sources supply) on the ingredients. You see, every day, exactly what you are feeding their pets.

However, the ideal is not always the most practical for many pet owners. There is also a consideration of the transition of the entire package to the preparation of food to biscuits house. Many pet owners are unsure of how to prepare food properly, especially when it comes to raw foods.

A great way to start, and this is what I'm doing now is to feed a combination of diets of origin and packaging Kibble. Again, make sure the company is confident that produces packaged food – Do your own research! But I have found that this works well for most pet owners. Start with a diet of home you feel comfortable with feeding and once or twice a week, and go from there. To my pets, I feed a homemade diet and preparation, pre-frozen raw food diet. My dog and cat, both love their new diets and are performing very well.

The other benefit of doing a combination that you are providing a varied diet, I definitely recommend something now. No single food – packaging or otherwise – that will be perfect for all pets. By varying the diet nutritional imbalances are composed of a pet can experience a particular diet or another.

Allowances for home, I have several available on my site, "Dr. Andrew Jones Inner Circle" theonlinevet – please see link in my biography. raw food evidence

    raw food evidence

What if I came to you and said:

"I have the most favorable diet in the world. You will lose weight, have more energy, and you prevent and even reverse any and all diseases. And you have to eat 60% or more of their calories from fat! "

It is likely that a) laugh in my face, b) turn and run, or c) ask if I was a raw foodist.

Yes, friends. The average raw foodist consumes 60% of their calories from fat! That's more than half of one daily calories, all fat!

Are you surprised? I know I sure was when I went raw. I could not believe he had people actually promoting a diet high in fat, when all evidence pointed to a healthy diet exactly the opposite!

So why why many raw foodists eat fatty foods so much? What is lowered to the "If It's Raw, It's Healthy" fallacy.

    If raw is healthy

Many raw foodists claim that raw fats are much healthier than cooked fats and not lead to problems such as diseases heart disease and atherosclerosis. While it is raw, you can eat as much as avocados, nuts and seeds as you want.

Yes, it is true that raw fats are much better than cooked fats. Fatty foods have been cooked most of the water extracted and many micronutrients along with the water (not to mention all the nutrients that are destroyed by heat itself).

Once cooked fats, which quickly go rancid and cause harmful carcinogens. The more oxygen than these foods come into contact with the most rancid become carcinogens and producing the most dangerous.

The problem with too much fat

However, eating too much fat either cooked or raw produce a series of problems for consumers:

    # 1: Fat takes a long time to digest and stays in the bloodstream for a long time. When you consume too much fat, excess fat in the blood interferes with the production of insulin in the pancreas. Under normal circumstances, insulin may bind to sugar molecules in the blood to cells. With fat in the way insulin is less sugar. The tires of pancreas produce more insulin. The level of sugar in the blood rises because sugar can not be transported outside the blood of insulin. As you can see, sugar metabolism disorders such as type 2 diabetes and Candida are not caused by lack of insulin or too much sugar. They can be directly linked to excess fat.

    # 2: Excess body fat slows the digestion of other foods consumed. Fruit, which normally takes a few minutes to digest, now has time to ferment inside the body. This results in uncomfortable bloating and gas.

    # 3: The excess fat in the blood also interferes with the ability of red blood cells to carry oxygen. A body oxygenated is a perfect environment for cancer cells to grow.

    # 4: The excess fat consumption is linked to numerous diseases physical and mental, such as:

  • Heart disease
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Breast cancer
  • Prostate cancer
  • Diabetes
  • Candida
  • Hyperglycemia
  • Hypoglycemia
  • Anemia
  • Arthritis
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • The amount of fat?

Dr. Graham, author of The 80/10/10 Diet and a leader within the raw food movement, advocates a diet of 10% fat or less. Personally, this is the pattern to follow and also is recommended. Fat this and that probably you are not consuming enough carbohydrates in the form of simple fruit.

10% of calories from fat is surprising for many people. However, many reputable sources (including the world famous Pritikin Center) recommend that only 10-15% of calories from fat.

Many people around the world eat a diet low in fat. In the China study, the most long nutrition ever conducted, Dr. Campbell studies of people living in rural China who consume as low as 6% of calories from fat!

Not surprisingly, in these areas is much lower rates of heart disease, atherosclerosis, breast cancer, etc. compared to places industrialized as the U.S. and Britain.

Power on most days, I do not eat any fats and in those days open averaged 5% of my calories from fat. I've never had any adverse reaction to limit my fat intake.

In fact, I have only experienced great benefits in that the limitation focus on fat, such as weight loss, increased energy, deeper sleep, mental, and improve digestion.

    Take Action!

You can take action now, simply limit your intake of fatty foods and 15% or less. A good way is to replace these high-calorie foods, low fat sweet fruit.

For example, if you usually eat avocados with your vegetables, try sliced peaches in the superior to its place. You can even make completely free of fat, fruit and vegetable sauces. Here is a personal favorite of mine:

    * * Spicy Tomato Dressing

  • 2 cups pineapple
  • 1 cup tomatoes
  • 1 cup cucumber
  • Mix all ingredients together.

The best way to track your fat intake is to use href = "http://www.nutridiary.com" target = "_blank"> www.nutridiary.com. There are many more sites that allow you to track your calories, but this is the place I recommend. It is easy to use and easy on the eyes. :)
